An eastern bull Elk screams his defiance at competitors. I have spent quite some time with this bull in Stone Mountain's zoo near Atlanta. He took "exception" to me several times; hissing, raising his magnificent head in "fleighman", and attempted to climb the fence at me several times. I think he picked me out of the crowd as an Elk hunter.
